API Key Guide
Learn how to create and safely connect the Gemini API key used by iScript AI features.
To use iScript’s powerful AI features (Pronunciation, Analysis, etc.), you need a free AI API Key.
Anyone with a Google account can get one easily and quickly for free.
🤔 What is an API Key? (Don’t worry!)
Think of it as “your personal ticket” to use AI services.
- It’s not personal info: It has nothing to do with your name, phone number, or address.
- It’s safe: iScript doesn’t have a server. Your key is stored only on your device and is never shared outside.

Step 1: Visit Google AI Studio
Click the button below to go to Google’s API key management page.
Note: You may need to sign in with your Google account.
Step 2: Create API Key
- Click the blue Create API key button on the screen.
- Select Create API key in new project from the popup menu. (Or select an existing project if you have one)
Step 3: Copy Key
- Your API key will be generated shortly.
- Click the Copy button (document icon) next to the generated key.

Step 4: Paste in iScript App
- Open the iScript App.
- Go to the Settings menu.
- Tap API Key and paste your copied key.
- Save and you’re done! 🎉

Q: Is this really free?
Yes, it is free. Personal users can use a sufficient amount for free through Google AI Studio’s Free Tier.
Q: Do I need to register a credit card?
No, no credit card is required for the Free Tier.
Q: My API key is not working.
- Check if any spaces were included when copying.
- Try regenerating the key and entering it again.
