What is iScript?

iScript is an AI-powered learning tool that helps you effectively learn foreign languages using your own script files (Excel).

Versatile Learning

• 🎬 Sentence Learning: Learn contextual expressions with text scripts
• 📝 Vocabulary Learning: Improve vocabulary with word list files
  (Simply use Excel format: Column 1 = Word, Column 2 = Meaning)
• 🔄 Efficient memorization with SRS (Spaced Repetition System)

1.1 AI Pronunciation (TTS)

• 🔊 Native Pronunciation: Tap the speaker icon to hear sentences
• 📊 Listen Count: Check repeat count with number badge on icon

1.2 AI Sentence Analysis (Explain)

• ✨ Tap AI Explain button to get:
  • Meaning and pronunciation of key words
  • Grammar structure explanation
  • Cultural background explanation
• ⭐ Word Bookmark: Save important words with star button

2. Script Management

2.1 Upload Script

1. Prepare Excel file (.xlsx)
   • Column 1: Original text
   • Column 2: Translation

2. Library → “Add Script” → Select file
3. Check copyright agreement and upload

2.2 Edit Script

• Rename: Tap pencil icon in script list
• Delete: Tap trash icon
• Add Sentence: Use “Add Sentence” button in script

3.1 Blur Focus

• Translations are blurred by default
• Try to interpret first, then tap translation area to check
• Helps improve concentration and active learning

3.2 Learning Status Management

4. Data Backup & Restore

4.1 Backup (Share API)

1. Settings → “File Backup” → Backup button
2. Share dialog appears
3. Select save location:
   • 💾 iCloud Drive (Recommended)
   • 📥 Downloads folder
   • 📁 Files app
4. ✅ JSON file saved

4.2 Restore (FilePicker)

1. Settings → “File Backup” → Restore button
2. File picker dialog appears
3. Select previously saved JSON backup file
4. ✅ Data restored and app restarts

⚠️ Important: If you don’t create a backup, all learning records will be permanently deleted when you delete the app.
📆 Recommended: Back up once a week!

5.1 Free App Operation

• iScript is free and supported by Google AdMob ads

Local-First

• All learning data stored locally on device only (IndexedDB)
• No data transmission to iScript server

Third-party Services

• Google AdMob: Only advertising identifier (IDFA)
• AI Service: User’s own API Key for sentence analysis (BYOK method)
